Alisa Zinovijeva, soprano

 

was born in Lettonia but is an Italian citizen. She graduated with full honours from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, Rome and subsequently specialised further at the famous

Accademia dell’Teatro alla Scala, Milan having worked closely with the legendary Gencer, Raimondi, Bruson, Serra, and others. At La Scala, Alisa performed in Macbeth under the direction of Riccardo Muti and Lucia di Lamermoor under the direction of Claudio Abbado, and she has also performed at the Teatro Massimo Bellini, Catania. Numerous roles have seen her excelling in both Russian and Italian opera and such is her versatility that she has also won rave reviews for her interpretation of numerous Handel operas.

 

For two years, she was resident Soprano at the Teatro Donizetti, Bergamo, and she has also had a successful run of performances with Daniel Barenboim at the Staatsoper, Berlin. Lately, she has also returned to La Scala to make her debut in Verdi’s I Due Foscari and Simon Boccanegra with the legendary Placido Domingo. Read more in coming programs.
