Krum Galabov, baritone
From an early age Krum Galabov was soloist of the Boys' Choir from Plovdiv, with which he took part in many concert performances. In 1994 he won the first prize at the International Musical Festival "Varnensko lyato"(Summer in Varna) and scholarship from the National Music Academy "Pancho Vladiferov". He continued his education in singing in the Supreme Academy of Music and Fine Arts Vienna. In the period 1996 – 2000 Krum Galabov worked in the Burgtheater in Vienna. Since 2001 he was a soloist of Wiener Residenzorchester and Salonorchester Alt Wien. During 2003, he studied with the world famous Ghena Dimitrova. Since 2008 he studies and takes special training with Maestro Boyko Tsvetanov.
In 2012 took part in the first staging of the French version of "Don Carlos" in the Teatro Argentino de la Plata, Buenos Aires, as well as all around South America. He has performed with the National symphony Orchestra of Taiwan and the Beethoven Orchester in Bonn, as well as the Arena di Verona and Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Italy. In 2013 he acted in the staging of Pagliacci at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, directed by Franco Zeffirelli. In 2013 Krum Galabov took part in the opening ceremony of the Festival "Apolonia" in Sozopol, accompanied by a concert with the world famous prima Krasimira Stoyanova. 2014 was very dynamic for Krum Galabov, as he made three main role debuts – as Cavalier Belfiore in the comic opera "Un Giorno di Regno" by Giuseppe Verdi, title role of Nabucco and Baron Scarpia from Puccini's Tosca. Other recent engagements included performances of Don Carlo (Marquis Posa), Traviata (Germont), La Boheme (Marcello) and sang many concerts in Bulgaria, Austria and Switzerland.
